The Superintendence of Public Domiciliary Services (Superservices) began in August an integral evaluation to XM SAESP, operator of the national interconnected system and the wholesale energy market.
The review, which is part of the 2025 Action Plan, It will be carried out for three months and includes a detailed analysis of administrative, financial, regulatory and commercial aspects.
As reported by the entity, the evaluation is developed within the framework of its inspection and surveillance functions on electric market agents. One of the key components will be the review of the agreements and contracts signed by XM, with the objective of verifying its compliance with the provisions established by the Energy and Gas Regulation Commission (CREG).

“Within the evaluation process, the contracts mentioned recently are included by the Ministry of Mines and Energy,” said the Superintendency, referring to the public observations made by that portfolio on the management of XM.
In addition to the inspection component, Superservices advances permanent work tables with the company, in which the technical, operational and administrative conditions of the national interconnected system are reviewed. These tables have a preventive and corrective approach, and seek to strengthen system performance.
