The National Superintendent of Health, Giovanny Rubiano García, reported on Monday about the rotation of the intervening agents of three of the health promoting entities that are under special measure: New EPS, Coosalud and Western Health Service (SOS).
The decision, as indicated, responds to the need to continue intervention plans that have been established to guarantee the operational and financial stability of these companies.

After more than eight months in office, Bernardo Camacho leaves the auditor of Nueva EPS. The new New EPS control will be Gloria Libya Polanía Aguillón, who assumed as a coosalud controller.

The new New EPS auditor will be Gloria Libya Polanía Aguillón, who had so far assumed the intervention of Coosalud. Polanía accumulates 33 years of experience in the public service of the health sector and, according to the Superintendency, will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of the current processes and strengthening the mechanisms of financial and welfare supervision of the entity.
In Coosalud, The designated official is Carlos Eduardo Franco Muñoz, who exercised the audit in SOS. Its transfer responds to the Supersalud strategy of strengthening the application of stabilization measures, medical audits and control of lending networks in the EPS.
“These designations will allow each entity to maintain a clear course within the framework of the intervention and that the commitments acquired with the users and with the system are consolidated”Said the Superintendent.

For its part, The new SOS controller will be Sergio Andrés Gil Celis, who was recognized compliance with the requirements required in current regulations to assume responsibility. His task, Rubian explained, will be focused on guaranteeing the continuity of the services, the stabilization of the operation at different levels of attention and in the execution of the goals established in the intervention plan.
With the rotation of auditors, the Supersalud seeks to advance in the fulfillment of four strategic lines that have been defined as priority: The operation of medical audits, the consolidation of providers networks throughout the territorythe strengthening of primary health care and the joint negotiation of medicines.
“The purpose is to ensure that intervened entities can provide adequate service, with sustainability and in accordance with the needs of the system”Rubiano concluded.
