The National Assembly dismissed the superintendent of Companies, Víctor Anchundia Places, for failure to perform his duties.

The motion was presented by the legislator Luis Almeida and Ricardo Vanegas. It indicates that Anchundia “omitted its duty to exercise control and supervision of the companies Ecuagran, Delcorp and Decevale which, through fraudulent actions when negotiating unsupported invoices and supposed securities, made it possible to scam the Isspol funds and to the fund for dismissal of the Magisterium.
The decision of the Assembly will be formally notified to the Ministry of Labor so that the censorship and dismissal of the Superintendent and “so that the prohibition of exercising any position in the public sector is established” during the time determined by the Law.
