Superintendence of Services appointed Fabio Tavera as liquidator of Electricaribe, Emsirva and Electrolima

The Superintendency of Home Public Services (Superservicios) This Thursday, public accountant Fabio Tavera Oviedo was appointed liquidator of three important public service companies in liquidation: Electricaribe SAESP, the Cali Public Cleaning Service Company ESP (Emsirva) and the Electrificadora del Tolima SAESP (Electrolima).

This decision was made with the objective of efficiently managing the liquidation process of these entities and resolve outstanding debts.

Electricaribe, one of the largest electricity distribution companies on the Caribbean coast, accumulated debts exceeding $2.4 billion, which led to its intervention and subsequent liquidation by the government.

Emservethe company in charge of the cleaning service in Cali, also went through serious economic difficulties that led to its liquidation. Emsirva’s debts exceeded $300,000 million.

Electrolimethe company responsible for energy distribution in the department of Tolima, was also affected by financial problems. With an approximate debt of $120,000 million, The company failed to overcome its operational difficulties, leading to its liquidation.

Fabio Tavera Oviedo, who assumed the liquidation of these three companieshas extensive professional experience in the exercise of fiscal control, tax audit, liquidations and audits. His experience includes auditing, internal control, accounting, budget and portfolio.

Furthermore, the new liquidator of these companies, as reported Superservicios has held management positions in sectors such as the Solidarity Economy and Healthacting as manager and fiscal auditor in hospitals in the Capital District and Health Service Provider Entities (EPS).
