Sundde set fish prices ahead of Easter

Last Tuesday, the National Superintendence for the Defense of Socioeconomic Rights (Sundde) inspected wholesale markets, retailers and fishmongers in the national territory with the aim of verifying that the fish is not sold at a premium.


The National Superintendency for the Defense of Socioeconomic Rights (Sundde) published this Thursday the list of costs and prices of fish. This on the subject of Easter approaching.

According to what they published in the official account on the Sundde social network Twitter, these costs were agreed through working groups in conjunction with the Ministry of National Commerce, the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture and representatives of the fishing sector and important marketing chains. .

Varied prices can be displayed in the lists. The cheapest corresponds to the price of sardines of 2.20 bolívares per kilo. Followed by the guabina at 8.01 bolívares per kilo, while coporo, horse mackerel, smooth, Caribbean and pepitonas with a cost of 8.58 bolívares per kilo.

Among the most expensive are the grouper, which has a price of 39.60 bolívares per kilo and is followed by the white shrimp that was defined to be sold at 28.60 bolívares per kilo.

Tuna prices were arranged as: albacore tuna 15.44 bolívares per kilo and yellowfin tuna at 22.00 bolívares. While the yellow dogfish should be sold at 16.59 bolívares.

Likewise, prosecutors reviewed compliance with the Maximum Retail Price (PMVP) of food in the basic food basket in commercial establishments.

As well as compliance with the official exchange rate established by the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) for commercial transactions in foreign currency.

Also, compliance with the agreed prices of the 27 prioritized items in the country was reviewed.

Among the prioritized foods are: precooked corn flour, rice, pasta, milk and sugar, oil; same as chicken, meat and eggs as proteins.
