Sunad manages to seize more than 41 thousand kilos of drugs in 2022

Around 41,000 kilograms of drugs have been seized in various types of anti-drug operations, as reported by the spokesman for the National Anti-Drug Superintendence (Sunad), Richard López, in an interview offered to Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), at the II Expo Citizen Security 2022, held in Simón Bolívar Park, La Carlota.

In this sense, López highlighted that with the implementation of efficient anti-drug policies by the Bolivarian Government, the actions of citizen security forces and the coordination of Sunad, a total of 41,870 kilograms of drugs have been seized during this year.

According to a review in the Ciudad Caracas newspaper, the official mentioned that Zulia, Falcón, Bolívar and Táchira are the main places on the list of states where the most narcotics seizure work has been carried out.

Likewise, he highlighted the 7,113 operations related to micro-trafficking that have been carried out this year, and explained that operations related to micro-trafficking are especially relevant for Sunad and the security forces, as it is the modality with which drugs are introduced into communities.

Finally, he pointed out that with these measures, Venezuela has managed to remain on the list of countries with the lowest drug prevalence in the world, prepared by the United Nations (UN).
