Sunacrip restructuring drags employees forced to resign

Restructuring of Sunacrip causes paralysis of the crypto ecosystem in Venezuela

The National Superintendence of Cryptoactives (Sunacrip) since mid-March has been managed by a restructuring board that was appointed by the government of Nicolás Maduro, after Joselit Ramírez, who directed the entity, was arrested for corruption. At the beginning of April, workers of the entity denounced SuchWhich that despite the fact that the board assured that no one would be fired, they were forced to sign a letter where they put their charges to order

The National Superintendence of Cryptoactives (Sunacrip) progressively dismisses payroll workers. On Monday, April 24, the human resources department summoned the personnel of the different areas of the entity for an “administrative closure.”

An employee of the entity, who prefers to keep his identity for fear of reprisals from the government of Nicolás Maduro, told SuchWhich that on Monday, April 24, he went to the headquarters, located in downtown Caracas, and only signed a document in which the restructuring board, appointed by the Executive, acknowledged receipt of the letter that days before they forced him to sign, in which he put his charge to order.

«They told me that this was the letter where the restructuring board accepts the position. They passed us through another human resources position where they dismissed us from the comptroller’s office, “said the source. That same day they told him, albeit unofficially, that at the end of the month they would receive their last fortnight and that in the coming weeks they (the workers) would be called to inform them of their settlement and the starting park.

At the beginning of April, Sunacrip workers denounced SuchWhich that despite the fact that the restructuring board promised that “they would not fire anyone”, they practically forced them to sign a letter to put their positions to order. They told them “don’t come back after Easter, whatever we call them ». They claimed to the Government the fact of having to pay the piper for a corruption plot of which they had no idea and which was led by officials of the State itself.

Until now, Sunacrip or the board have not confirmed the procedure they carry out.

through Twitter there were also reports of layoffs. In the information disseminated on the social network, it is ensured that the entity had a payroll of 600 people. “They tell them that maybe they will fix them, but ‘there is no date’. These workers were the only ones in the public administration who had a bonus in Petros equivalent to $350”, is part of the information published on the social network.

Ángel Pérez, municipal governance advisor, assured that the superintendency is undergoing a “restructuring” in order to investigate the corruption plot.

“Sunacrip is going through a painful process of new restructuring. The work entrusted to the restructuring board headed by Anabel Pereira, who in turn directs Sudeban, is not easy, because beyond reviewing the institution and providing it with an effective, efficient, transparent structure that meets the objectives for which the entity was created, it must be diagnosed if this is worth it and how to do it, “wrote the specialist through the social network.

Pérez, despite regretting the layoffs, said it was a predictable measure. Users in networks repudiated the supposed dismissal and urged to respect the Organic Law of Labor, Workers and Workers.

“What happened to all the unemployed from Sunacrip, they were left on the street without being guilty, they have to reinstate all the workers, what an abuse, luckily there are no layoffs, I am really very disappointed, what a sadness so much injustice,” added @ lindapatria2 on Twitter.

Corruption-spattered Sunacrip

On March 17, the National Anti-Corruption Police solicitous the Public Ministry (MP) prosecute a group of citizens who exercised functions in public power and who could be involved in serious acts of administrative corruption and embezzlement. The day before, on Thursday the 16th, the Sunacrip workers were evicted from the building by the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim), without knowing the reasons.

Several officials from regional governments and from the military and judicial sectors were detained in the operation, including Joselit Ramírez, superintendent of Sunacrip; Antonio Pérez Suárez, Vice President of Commerce and Quality Supply of pdvsa; Samuel Testamarck, general manager of PDV Marina, and PSUV deputy Hugbel Roa.

Ramírez after being arrested was removed from office. The government of Nicolás Maduro appointed a restructuring board of the organization that is chaired by Anabel Pereira Fernández, a lawyer who until 2022 served as president of the Fund for Social Protection of Bank Deposits (Fogade).

Pereira will be accompanied by three main directors: Héctor Andrés Obregón Pérez, Luis Alberto Pérez González and Julio César Mora Sánchez. Pavel Javier García Sandoval, Ramón Daniel Maniglia Darwich, Carlos Eloy Pirela Méndez, Larry Daniel Davoe Márquez and Edgardo Alfonzo Toro Carreño were appointed as alternate directors.

The new board will be coordinated, supervised and controlled by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Foreign Trade.
