Summit for Democracy: Brazil to defend freedom and dialogue

President Jair Bolsonaro participated, this Thursday (9), in the opening of the Summit for Democracy. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a video to be shown tomorrow during the summit, Bolsonaro will reiterate Brazil’s commitment to protecting fundamental freedoms and promoting a culture of dialogue, freedom and social inclusion.

Also according to Itamaraty, the president will cite the fight against corruption as a permanent priority for the Brazilian government, “including through the approval of the Anti-Corruption Plan, with a view to consolidating a transparent and responsible public administration”.

“Brazil’s participation in the Summit for Democracy demonstrates the country’s commitment to the democratic values ​​enshrined in the Federal Constitution of 1988 and to the full development of the rule of law”, concluded the folder, in a statement.
