Summit concludes with delivery of the draft law on Respect for Human Rights

Different exhibitors and lecturers presented their ideas and highlighted the value that Critianism represents in decision-making throughout the history of humanity from conception to the present day.

The event organized by the Oasis of Life Center of Boston Massachusetts and La Pastoral de los Derechos Humanos held the Second Apostolic Summit on Governance and Spirituality on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 December in the main auditorium of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aimed at spiritual leaders politicians, entrepreneurs,entrepreneurs and community members, communicators, likewise, to those who hunger and thirst for justice, promising aspirants for economic, social and spiritual transformation.

During the conference, high impact topics were developed by accredited national and international exhibitors.

The Dominican Republic was selected as the venue, and it is the first time that an event of this connotation has been held in the country.

The Organizing Committee chaired by Pastor Teófilo Alcántara and his great team that accompanies him, received great support from all the social, evangelistic and professional communities that gathered in the great event that received more than 600 people and, the rigor of the measures of biosecurity that were foreseen before the care that we must maintain.

Prominent figures including the pastor and writer Àngel Salvador Sánchez, Dr. Roberto Miranda, Pastor Dio Astacio, the jurist Jottin Cury, Santiago Ponciano, the political leader, Elias Wessin Chavez and prominent special guests presented intense presentations according to the times.

Important papers can be highlighted, such as the one given by Dr. Jottin Cury, regarding the commemoration of the 73rd anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

On the occasion of this event, the President of the Republic was presented with a Draft Law on Respect for Human Rights by Public Servants in the Dominican Republic to the Vice President of the Senate of the Republic, Santiago José Zorrilla Ozuna and Senator of the province. El Seibo (PRM) via Pastor Dio Astacio on behalf of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, whom he promised to deliver, both were present at the table of honor.

During the lectures, they talked about very specific issues such as cyber attacks, something that the speaker Margarita Cornielle Mendoza underlined “we must all try to be our own preventers.”

Elías Wessin Chavez, referring to the issue of the Conception, said: “The leader must know that the Christian faith is relevant in all areas of life is not one yes in another. It is only religious truth but all truth covers the reality.

On his side, Pastor Santiago Ponciano, called on Christians not to remain silent only in the temples just at the moment that a time of delicate transformation is being lived.

“We live the most delicate part of history and the transition of dangerous violent changes, cannot differentiate between the pagan and the sacred, the good and the bad, and the moral and immoral.
