From late in the afternoon until late at night, from Monday to Friday, the Summer Sports Activities have been taking place with a very good response from children, young people and adults.
The different spaces of the Barrio Mendoza Complex and the gym that is installed in the headquarters building of the General Directorate of Sports of the Municipality of Cerro Largo are being used.
“Last Monday, January 6, this summer proposal began, consisting of sports, recreational, social and also training activities within the different ranges of possibilities so that everyone can attend, covering a wide age range as well” announced the Professor Juan Manuel García.
“These activities will take place from Monday to Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Sports Court of the Sports Directorate. Monday and Friday there is soccer proposal, Tuesday and Thursday volleyball and on Wednesday handball proposal, in addition to the open space for other sports disciplines as this sports space is currently operating to which you can go at any time and at any time to make use of the facilities” reported. “The same goes for training activities. They will be held from Monday to Friday throughout the month of January in the Sports Directorate Gym. There will be functional gymnastics on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and an equipment room on Tuesdays and Thursdays.” he detailed.

A RECREATIONAL SPORTS PROPOSAL
He specified that these sports activities have an exclusively recreational sports nature, therefore they do not operate under the format of small schools with all the methodological and teaching contributions that they have. “Here we aim above all at recreation and play through the practice of sports” express. “The little ones are going to play, to experience discipline, to practice the sport itself” he added.

These summer sports activities began on Monday of this week with a very good turnout. It should be noted that they will last throughout the month of January and also February.
