Sullana: Workers of the former Caja Sullana held a vigil

Workers of the former Caja Sullana that was taken over by Caja Piura, held a vigil last night, Tuesday, July 30, outside the main headquarters in front of the Plaza de Armas of the asking that they be fairly compensated for the years they have been working at the financial institution.

They took their place in front of the new building carrying candles and demanding with slogans that their time of service be recognized, since many of them had been working for more than 30 years. In addition, they ask to continue working at Caja Piura.

“What we are asking for is fair compensation for the years we have been working. We need to be heard and compensated with fair payment, that is what we are asking for, because we have earned a labor right,” said one of the workers.

As you may recall, on July 11, the SBS intervened in Caja Sullana due to a reduction of more than 50% in its assets, which was then liquidated and sold to Caja Piura.
