Four Colombian citizens who were in our country illegally were seized and placed at the disposal of the National Police of Peru in an operation carried out by the authorities on the Panamericana Norte highway, in the province of Sullana.
The transport operation was carried out by prosecutors Sara Vidal and Kevin Antón from the Sullana Crime Prevention Prosecutor’s Office, together with members of the National Police of Peru, with the purpose of verifying the identity control and immigration status of Peruvian citizens and foreigners to prevent the crime of human trafficking. In addition, personnel from Migrations and the Superintendency of Land Transportation of People, Cargo and Goods (SUTRAN) participated.

There were a total of 25 people of foreign nationality from various countries whose situation was verified, where the Migration personnel reported that 4 citizens of Colombian nationality were in our country in an irregular situation for not carrying out immigration control when entering Peruvian territory. Given this, they ordered his transfer to the State Security Unit of the PNP for the respective proceedings.
