Extortionists detonated explosives in two houses of merchants who were allegedly asking them for various amounts of money so as not to attempt to take their lives in the Sullana province.
One of the cases occurred in block 12 of San José Street in the Nueve de Octubre settlement, where a device exploded, causing damage to the front of the building in this city.

The other incident occurred last Thursday night in a house located in the popular Vencedores 15 de Abril neighborhood near the Sullana to Paita highway, where another device exploded, also causing alarm among the neighbors who ran out into the street in terror.
