In order to verify that the inmates do not have prohibited objects that constitute crimes, the Crime Prevention Prosecutor’s Office in coordination with the INPE (National Penitentiary Institute) staff, carried out a review at the Women’s penitentiary located in the Sullana province.
Deputy prosecutor Sara Vidal arrived at the penitentiary center located on María Auxiliadora street, block one, together with PNP colonel José Guerra Castillo, head of the Public Order and Security Division (DIVOPUS) of Sullana, where they met with engineer Milagros Sosa, director of the prison and second technical non-commissioned officer PNP Magda Mogollón, head of the Security Division of INPE in Sullana, to whom they explained the reason for the diligence.

The authorities, including 25 police officers, visited the five pavilions that house 199 inmates and seven children. The facility consists of minimum, medium, maximum security and senior citizen units. It also has sewing, baking and crafts workshops.
The police proceeded to check the aforementioned environments, while the female police personnel carried out a body search of each of the inmates of the prison, which yielded a negative result.
