Sukhoi plane crashed during rehearsals for the 5-J parade

A military plane crashed to the ground this Sunday morning between the cuts of El Guayabo and Maturín, Miranda state, according to military sources.

It is a Sukhoi 30 Mk2 Flanker plane, acronym 3363 that was in practice for the July 5th parade.

The first information reveals that the aircraft broke formation stating that it had the fire light on in one engine. Subsequently, the two pilots ejected from the aircraft in a mountainous area between Paracotos and La Tejerias, on the border of Aragua and Miranda.

Aeronautical firefighters came to the site to attend to the incident.

The pilot of the aircraft is identified as Paulino José Millán Sabino (colonel) and co-pilot Sergio Luis Hernández Gómez (lieutenant colonel).

Currently, all military protocols have been activated to address the fact, explained a military source.
