Through its social networks, Sudeban disseminated the official schedule, which includes nine national holidays and 13 bank holidays, which will govern the operation of financial institutions throughout the country.
The Superintendency of Banking Sector Institutions (Sudeban) published the calendar of holidays for the banking sector corresponding to the year 2026, which establishes that national banks will have 22 days off, between national and banking holidays.

National holidays
The calendar includes the following dates as national holidays:
- New Year: January 1
- Carnival: February 16 and 17
- Holy Week: April 2 and 3
- Labor Day: May 1st
- Battle of Carabobo: June 24
- Birthday of the Liberator: July 24
- Indigenous Resistance Day: October 12
- Christmas Eve: December 24
- Christmas: December 25
- New Year’s Eve: December 31
Banking and religious holidays
Added to these days are religious celebrations of Venezuelan tradition, which will also be non-working days for the banking sector. Among them are:
- Three Kings Day
- Divine Shepherdess
- Saint Joseph
- Corpus Christi
- Saint Peter and Saint Paul
- Virgin of Coromoto
- Saint Joseph Gregorio Hernandez
- Virgin of Chiquinquirá
- Immaculate Conception

Sudeban recalled that during bank holidays the agencies do not provide service to the public, although users may carry out operations through electronic channels such as online banking, mobile payment and ATMs, depending on the availability of each entity.
