Coach Abel Braga once again complained about the calendar and the excess of competitions.
“The business is mad: in six days, three games and three nights of sleep lost traveling. It’s complicated, inhumane for everyone”, he lamented.

By regulation, only the first place in each group advances to the round of 16 of the competition.
