Sucre working class marched in defense of Venezuelan assets

Between slogans like Sucre is on the street and no one stops him! And Alert (…) that Bolívar’s sword walks through Latin America! The working class together with the revolutionary militancy of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in the state of Sucre mobilized in support of the social policies issued by President Nicolás Maduro.

The mobilization of the working class started from the Virgen del Valle church to Bermúdez avenue in the city of Cumaná, where they gathered to express their resounding rejection of the High Court of the United Kingdom for maintaining the blockade of Venezuela’s gold reserves in the Bank of England.

Working class against the blockade

During the activity, Governor Gilberto Pinto described as “vermin” the action of the British court that threatens the economy of the Venezuelan people. At the same time, he ratified the commitment to continue supporting the actions of the National President to recover the patrimony of the population.

«Cumaná has overflowed! We have concentrated to give a resounding support to our president so that he continues his march with a firm footing so that we can go to international markets and so that we can serve our workers with better wages, “said Pinto.

He stressed that the working class will remain firm in defense of the economic growth policies promoted by the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution to strengthen the sustainable development of the nation.

“The president has developed a series of policies to increase exports, speed up agribusiness and improve wages and services for our workers. With all our strength we will support the president so that he continues to fight the claims of the blockade, of suffocation, of the financial persecution that has brought sadness and shortages,” he said.

He added that in the face of economic blockades and unilateral coercive sanctions from foreign countries, “President Nicolás Maduro has been synonymous with resistance and has become a reference for growth, prosperity, development and collective happiness,” Governor Pinto said.

In this sense, the mayor of Cumaná, Luis Sifontes, affirmed that once again the revolutionary people will raise the flag of victory against the imperial attacks that plague the tranquility and well-being of families. He maintained that they will not kneel before the interests of any empire.

“Here is a people that has the strongest political conviction and today we say to the lackeys of imperialism who want to take away our peace, that we are going to defend the tranquility, sovereignty and resources of the people of Venezuela at all costs. We are not going to allow them to continue damaging the integrity of Venezuela,” exalted the mayor.

In this regard, Gustavo Blander, a worker, reiterated his support for President Maduro and the social programs designed to guarantee the welfare state to families throughout the territory.

“The working mass, from its bases, we mobilized to tell our worker president Nicolás Maduro that those coercive measures that exist from the empire against Venezuela, we repudiate it,” said Blander.

It should be noted that on July 18, the British court, after a four-day trial, denied the Venezuelan State access to the 32 tons of gold that remain withheld in the Bank of England. Sentence that has provoked the rejection of some sectors of Venezuelan society, who allege that the decision threatens the sovereignty and economic stability of the country.
