Substations are being monitored in Nibaje

Santiago. The technical team of the Vice Ministry of Energy Security and Infrastructure of the Ministry of Energy and Mines carried out several inspection visits to the repowered substations of Nibaje, which were increased to 50 MVA.

Vice Minister Fausto Pérez indicated that these visits are carried out in accordance with resolution 002-2014 of law 100-13 to observe the repowering and continue with the program of visits throughout the northern zone carried out by representatives of that institution, to continue evaluating these substations with increased capacities, the purpose of which is to improve the reliability of the electric service and guarantee the energy security of the area.

Fausto Pérez said that they have been carrying out supervisions in substations in Santiago, La Vega, Jarabacoa, San Francisco de Macorís, Nagua, among others, to resolve the overload problems. “Our management brings quality electricity to the areas where it operates,” he said.
