National media have reported that the event occurred in Tabasco, however, no reference to the location is given in the recording.
Tabasco authorities have not denied or confirmed that it is one of their municipalities.

Tabasco started 2025 amid a wave of violence that overshadowed the end-of-year celebrations in Villahermosa, after criminal groups carried out several attacks on businesses, vehicles and shootings.
