The Volaris airline reported that this morning on flight 3041, which covered the route from El Bajío to Tijuana, a Passenger tried, through the use of force, to divert the plane towards the United States.
In a statement, the airline reported that “the crew acted in accordance with established safety procedures and, in accordance with protocol.”
The plane was diverted to Guadalajara airportwhere Volaris placed the passenger at the disposal and custody of the authorities. “All passengers, crew and aircraft are safe.”
Finally, Volaris regretted the inconvenience and that it will act as the accusing party before the law “until its final consequences.”
