They report that during this Tuesday a subject fired shots at a school in the Quilicura commune, accusing an episode of bullying towards a relative.
The event occurred at the Juan Luis Undurraga School when the guardian of a third-year student arrived at the establishment accompanied by a third party denouncing a case of bullying towards the minor.
Specifically, the young man who is in a situation of disability was attacked by first-year students. This situation caused the call to the woman to investigate the fact.
As stated Radio Bio Bio the guardian’s companion, being dissatisfied with the response of the school management in this case, is that he perpetuated a shot in the air as a form of intimidation with the young people who bothered his family member.
The establishment issued a statement stating that “immediately after the events occurred, the teachers protected the students in the classrooms. No member of the community was injured.”
“As a school and Belén Educa we condemn this fact that is completely reprehensible and alien to the way we relate to each other. We inform that we have already made the complaints before the Carabineros and we will follow all the steps to apply the maximum sanctions against the aggressor and prevent him from being come to school,” they added.
The North Central Prosecutor’s Office instructed the police to investigate the events, while the Carabineros SIP is looking for the suspect.
The captain of the Carabinieri Sergio Andrade, specified that it is still unknown if the weapon used is real or blank, since no shells have been found in the place. In addition, he indicated that the suspect returned to the place accompanied by other people to once again intimidate those responsible for the bullying towards his relative.
Faced with these events, the management of the Juan Luis Undurraga School made the decision to advance the dismissal time.
