A deputy mayor, assigned to the Metropolitan Police of Barranquilla, made a serious complaint of alleged sexual harassment that she experienced by a superior in the institution in charge of protecting citizens.

The victim, who made the complaint in a video circulating on social networks, accuses a police colonel of persecuting her at work, after she refused to have intimate relations with him.
“Some time ago I was harassed by a colonel, who proposed that I sleep with him and as a result of my refusal, he then sent an officer who was my boss to harass me”the woman said in a video in which she showed her sadness and heartbreak over the situation.
Of the alleged harassment of which he has been a victim, he claims to have “evidence, witnesses, videos and photos.”
She adds in her complaint that the situation has become disturbing for her: «They have denied me permits, things that have affected me, my daughters, my mother. They have requested a transfer to Cali and if I complete that transfer, who is going to take care of my daughters in the city of Cali?
What the National Police said about the case of the deputy mayor
Edwin Urrego, commander of the Metropolitan of Barranquilla, spoke in recent hours about the case reported by the deputy mayor on social networks.
“Following the guidelines of the National Police, we reject any act of violence against women, which is why we will carry out the corresponding procedure for the necessary investigations and ensure that this fact is clarified,” said the high command.
He added that regarding the transfer to Cali of the uniformed “It has not been made effective, because a derogation has been requested due to a special situation.”
