Stylist died from a gunshot while waiting for an appointment at a dental office; gunman arrived to attack another patient

Police provided details about the man who would have been the main target of the attack

As Jasbleidy Madelein Manrique Acevedoa hairstylist by profession, a woman who died from a gunshot in a dental center in the La Playa neighborhood, in Cúcuta, was identified while waiting for her turn for care on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 8.

The gunshot attack perpetrated by a hitman who targeted another patient who was at the site, located on 14th Street and One Avenue, whom the hitman hit in the face with a firearm projectile.

The injured man, who was taken to a care center in the northern capital of Santander, was identified as Jonathan JB Tovar, a Venezuelan national who, according to the Police, was involved in the business of buying and selling cars.

The same bullet would have hit the young stylist and the body of Manrique Acevedo, who was left lying lifeless in the dental office.

After committing the homicide, the criminal escaped on a motorcycle to an unknown destination and at this time he is wanted by the authorities of Cúcuta to answer for these events that have caused repudiation in the city.

Regarding the motive for the hitman attack, the authorities hypothesize that the armed attack was directed against the subject who had arrived in Cúcuta 15 days ago.
