Students place 700 plants in the Sucre parish of Caracas

Students from the “Miguel Ángel López Cárdenas” High School, located in El Paraíso, established 700 plants in the Topo Las Piñas park, located in the Casalta 3 sector, in the Sucre parish of the capital city, as part of the National Reforestation Plan.

The 100 high school students mobilized to plant seedlings of apamate, guava, naked Indian, mahogany and bucare, in three hectares of the 86 that this recreation space has. The act was carried out in the company of members of the Environmental Nursery of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), members of Caracas Recicla and students from the National Experimental Security University (UNES).

The activity was promoted by the Ecosocialist Territorial Unit (UTEC) Capital, of the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism (Minec), with the support of a commission from the Tree Mission.

The activity coincided with the end of the 2021-2022 school year and the conclusion of the first stage of the “One student, one tree” program, Minec said in a press release.
