“The problem is that the module is ready since December, but The Mayor’s Office does not deliver it because it has not paid to the company. We have tired of waiting, they have told us that it already had water, light, furniture, but nothing. On Wednesday they were going to deliver us and so far we remain the same, ”said Alida Cueto, director’s director of the school, since they do not even have an item for the position.
While waiting for the delivery of the building, students must receive classes in precarious conditions. “The classrooms are small and does not enter all the number of students we have. Heat in the afternoon is unbearable. You can’t, fans don’t work. That is why we have to go out to the patio, under the trees, so that the boys can be at least a little more comfortable, ”said Cueto.
The San Miguel de los Junos Educational Module was built for the secondary level and has laboratories, workshops and large rooms. However, It is closed because the construction company has not received payment total by the mayor’s office.
Councilor Lola Terrazas, of Autonomous Community (CA), visited the Educational Unit and denounced the lack of action of the municipality. “It is outrageous that children pass classes outdoors when they have a smart module. But they do not deliver it because the Mayor’s Office has not complied with the payment. This is disrespect for students and their families, ”he said.
According to terraces, this is not an isolated case. “San Miguel de los Junos is one of the 13 modules that Mayor Jhonny Fernández began to build and are now paralyzed. This is the one that has the most advances, but it will not be delivered until the Mayor’s Office complies with the company. It is a total damage to education”He added.
