The Ministry of the Interior evicted from the premises of the IPA (Institute of Artigas Teachers) and Teachers occupied by the respective student unions, the police force measure was taken by decision of the National Administration of Public Education (Anep).
All the students, in the early hours of the 17th, peacefully withdrew in the presence of the police in front of the nine study centers in Montevideo, Canelones and Maldonado that they had occupied.
The occupation began on Monday the 15th in a demand for a larger budget and in rejection of the process of educational transformation.
The student union announced that this Thursday the 18th from 6:30 a.m. the occupations returned, in twelve houses of study, that is, three more are added.
