Student metrobus card can be enabled from February 28

Starting this Monday, February 28, public and private school students will be able to activate or request their metrobus or Panama Metro cards.

The Manager in Panama of Sonda’s Delivery Mobility, César Echevers, explained that those students who already have their cards should only activate them by going to service centers in the paid zones or Metro stations.

Students may activate or obtain their card as long as they have a certification or document that proves their enrollment in schools or colleges in the districts of Panama and San Miguelito. For those who will take out the card for the first time, a copy of the juvenile identity card will also be requested.

With this card, students pay a ticket of 10 cents on the metrobuses, 17 cents on Metro Line 1 and 25 cents on Line 2. These cards can only be used from 4:00 am to 8:00 pm
