The storm that hit the south of the country over the weekend now affected the Cochabamba tropics, where hurricane-force winds and heavy rains have been reported, mainly in Puerto Villarroel.
The Tamborada and Tarija unions located in that municipality are the most affected. The community members denounced that there are considerable losses in banana production, reported Radio Televisión Carrasco.
The force of the wind accompanied by rain was recorded in a video that is already viral.
The Agricultural Chamber of Cochabamba reported that the storm arrived at around 9:30 this Monday and the damage was counted.
