After the justice confirmed that a truck driver who passed a picket line died after being attacked with a stone, the drivers announced changes in the strike of carriers which is more than a week old.
According to Santiago Carlucci, president of Transportistas Unidos de Argentina (TUDA), the measure of force it will be suspended momentarily and in rejection of what happened; however, in the next few days, the strike of carriers I could go on.
In dialogue with TN, Carlucci assured that For now, the roadblocks will be lifted as a gesture of solidarity with the relatives of Guillermo Andrés Jara.the trucker who died after being attacked on Monday, and today will be analyzed until when the strike of carriers.
“I would tell you that there is no longer any cut in principle, because that is what was determined last night, to be in solidarity with a colleague who passed away, regardless of what happened, because none of us know for sure. The only thing we know is that this person wanted to ram a picket line and unfortunately it ended in death.”
The Single Union of Port Administration Workers (SUTAP), the National Union of Carriers and Allied Workers of the Argentine Republic (UNTRA) and United Carriers of Argentina (TUDA) would have made the decision.
This means that the drivers will maintain their claims before the Government, since for now they have not been assured exits that would put an end to the problem with the lack of fuel.
In addition, the sector insists that freight rates must be updated, despite the fact that the Government set an increase of 25% this Wednesday, which the union said was “a joke.”

Although for now there is nothing very definite, this Wednesday, the Minister of Security, Aníbal Fernández, assured the press that he was able to find out that the fuel purchases “were already made”.
