The indefinite strike undertaken by residents and merchants of Machu Picchu Pueblo last Friday continues, and is becoming more and more acute, with the suspension of services and outbreaks of anger between residents, tourists and the Police.

The suspension of the sale of one thousand extra tickets for the world wonder, at the box office located in Machu Picchu Pueblo, caused its residents to rise up, blocking the train tracks and the Hiram Bingham highway, which transports locals and tourists by bus to the historic sanctuary.
