Strengthening the PAE will allow for a full schedule of classes

The Minister of Education, Hector Rodriguezheld a meeting with the national representatives of the School Feeding Program (PAE), held at the Andrés Bello House of Letters, located in Caracas. During his presentation, he highlighted that the initiative has three fundamental approaches for its proper functioning and that “helps us a lot to achieve the goal of having a full class schedule every day of the week,” he said.

Rodriguez indicated that the first approach should focus on valuing the program as “a fundamental tool to attract the teacher and the student to the educational space,” in addition to the fact that “it helps us a lot to achieve the goal of having a full class schedule,” he added.

On the other hand, the second topic is oriented in the economic and logistical fieldespecially for improve distribution chains. Furthermore, the head of the aforementioned office indicated that this objective requires joint efforts between the Ministries of Food and Education, with the support of the governorships, mayors, the People’s Power, among other actors.

Finally, the Minister of Education pointed out that third element that the PAE becomes a pedagogical tool in students“Food is a pedagogical fact. Food has to teach us how to eat, it has to teach us about biology, about values; it has to teach us how to share,” he said.
