Viro offered these details, when giving the opening speech at the “Innovation and Quality Meeting: promoting excellence in the productive sectors”, organized by the ANEIH, together with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM) and the Dominican Council for Quality (Codoca).
“Today, more than ever, the business sector has the challenge of aligning productivity with sustainability, competitiveness with inclusion and growth with responsibility,” said Viro.
At the meeting, the Minister of Industry, Víctor Bisonó, indicated that the Dominican System for Quality has become a dynamic and living platform that brings together the public and private sectors around guaranteeing products and services that inspire confidence. He said that the DR has a National Quality Policy 2024-2028 and key institutions have been strengthened, such as the Dominican Accreditation Body.
Also at the event, Liliana Gomez Arenaa specialist in quality management and innovation, offered the keynote lecture, where he presented the four trends:
Quality with purpose, which involves responding to climatic and environmental challenges.
Governance of artificial intelligence, to guarantee its ethical use.
Digital quality and industry 4.0, with advanced analytics and traceability.
Resilience in supply chains, to ensure continuity in the face of unforeseen events.
