The Minister of Popular Power for the Penitentiary Service, V/A Celsa Bautistaheld a meeting with the head of the Americas, Europe and Central Asia branch of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Jose Maria Aranazin order to advance in the strengthening of the prison system in the country.
The information was released by the minister, through a message posted on her Twitter account, where she stated that the conference allowed addressing issues concerning the Penitentiary Service’s agenda; as well as the visualization of the achievements achieved during the 100 days of management.
He took the opportunity to inaugurate the Penitentiary Art Gallery room, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Popular Power for the Penitentiary Service in Caracas, to “show the diversity of works carried out by the inmates in the different penitentiary centers”.
