Due to the preparations for the beginning of the Carnival 2025, scheduled for this Sunday, the Mayor’s Office of Santiago de los Caballeros has arranged the closure of various roads in the Central Park area, a new scenario of the event after the intervention of the vicinity of the monument to the heroes of the Restoration and the Las Avenida Las Avenida Las Avenida Racing.
The road closure affects the following streets near the Central Park: Bartolomé Colón Avenue, from J. Armando Bermúdez Avenue to Rafael Santaella street, and Padre Las Casas street in its entirety.
According to a statement from the Mayor’s Office, these measures are implemented in compliance with Law 176-07, Law 6232 and Law 63-17 of Traffic and Mobility, with the objective of ensuring the order and safety of citizens during the festivities .
He Carnival 2025 will take place over almost a month, starting this Sunday, February 9 and ending on March 2.
The Central Park has been conditioned with areas for shows, parking and safety and logistics reinforcements, allowing the celebration to be carried out in an environment prepared to receive residents and visitors.
In addition, the event will have the participation of traditional groups, such as piglets and independent characters and will present a varied musical program with artists such as the greatest classic, Yaisel La Melody and the Didí Hernández merenguera. In this edition, Carlos Iglesias and Samantha Dispré have been designated as the king and queen of the Carnivalrespectively.
The authorities urge drivers and pedestrians to avoid traveling through the streets near the Central Park and plan alternative routes, respecting the signs and indications arranged in the area.
