Street vendors face CDMX Government personnel in the Zocalo

At least two officials were surrounded by merchants, demolished and then received bearing from several vendors at the same time, while the rest of the personnel of the Undersecretariat of Mayor’s Programs and Public Vía retreated before the aggressions.

The Government Secretariat (SECGOB) reported that two workers were transferred to a hospital to receive medical assessment from the blows received, while eight more officials with minor wounds did not require transfer.

“It is important to note that the installation of semi -infexes in the area represents a risk to the mobility of citizenship, since structures and goods placed on public roads can cause stumbling blocks and accidents during the large influx that is expected in the Plaza de la Constitución.

“Derived from these aggressions, the authorities carry out the corresponding investigations in order to present the relevant complaints and demarcate responsibilities,” said the Secretariat of Capital Government in a statement.
