Days ago, his spontaneous gesture — giving a notebook and a pencil to low-income children at a school supplies donation — went viral due to the authenticity with which it was done: without cameras, without expectations and without asking for anything in return.
The episode deeply touched the Huila community. On social networks, José was recognized as an example of solidarity in times where indifference usually prevails. Their action opened a conversation about the importance of empathy, especially among those facing the greatest economic hardship.
The impact reached the ears of the Government of Huila, which decided to turn collective gratitude into concrete help. Social manager Ángela Parra Fajardo led the initiative to provide José with comprehensive support that would allow him to improve his daily situation and, at the same time, honor the nobility of his gesture.
As part of the recognition, José received help to cover the rental fee, which will allow him to live with greater stability and reduce the economic pressure he carries on his shoulders. In addition, the administration gave him food vouchers to guarantee the nutritional security of his home.
