Storm causes damage in San Pedro Penitentiary

According to the director of the aforementioned prison Ricardo Núñez, the roof of one of the pavilions was partially affected, as well as a part of the path of the perimeter wall.

“The wall was not affected, but its path was. There was no attempt to escape because the wall itself was not affected, only the path that is used by the prison officers in charge of the guards” he referred.

The Ministry of Justice ordered that once the storm subsides, repair work will begin immediately in the affected areas.
