According to a report by Successful, this morning the prices of these products have risen between S/ 2.00 and S/ 2.50.
“Vegetables are where we have observed the most [un alza]. As they are highly perishable, they are the most sensitive. For example, celery, which is between S/ 5.50 to S/ 6.00, today has risen to S/ 8.00. Peas from S/ 4.80 to S/ 6.00″said Jaime Gallegos, spokesman for the market.
Despite the escalation in prices for these products, the entry of twice as many cargo trucks to supply the market was reported today.
On Monday the 20th, 4,532 trucks entered. Today, Monday, June 27, 10,343 cargo trucks entered, mainly from Arequipa and the central highlands.
