The general commander of the Fire Department of Caracas (CBC), Pablo Antonio Palacios, informed that the fire that occurred in last Friday night in a building under construction, located in the Baruta municipality, Las Mercedes urbanization, Las Mercedes, Las Mercedes, Caroní Street, back of the Las Mercedes polyclinic located in Caracas.
After the combat and extinction of the fire, no injured or deceased were reported, despite the great magnitude of the incident.
The fire was developed in a building under construction of approximately 1,000 m² and the CBC troops made, in record time, combat work and extinction of the flames, because they had the support of other institutions, which avoided the propagation to other areas.
It is worth noting the presence of the Vice Minister for Civil Risk Management, Admiral Juan Carlos Oti, who indicated that the investigations are carried out to determine the causes of the incident that paralyzed the East Zone.
