The surroundings of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) dawned with security reinforcement on Monday (1st), the eve of the trial on a coup plot that would have tried to keep former President Jair Bolsonaro in power. 
The extra staff of men and vehicles of the Federal District Military Police (PMDF) should be ready by at least September 12, when the trial should have already been closed, according to the schedule stipulated by the Supreme.
From this Monday, he also began operating an Integrated Intelligence Intelligence cell, installed at the headquarters of the Federal District Secretariat of Public Security (SSP). The structure brings together local and national security agencies, which monitor the movement of people in Brasilia and social networks to launch preventive actions, if necessary.
From this Tuesday (2), the outskirts of the Court will be submitted to an integrated security scheme between the Federal Judicial Police and SSP-DF. Aglomerations that characterize manifestations and any type of camp nearby are prohibited.
Police will monitor those who move through the Praça dos Três Powers and on the Supreme Access Roads, including approaches and backpacks and bags. One of the biggest concerns is with lonely actions on the part of some supporter of the former president. Diurnal and night scannings with thermal image drones will also be made.
Although no demonstrations are allowed nearby, the trial must change the routine of central Brasilia, as more than three thousand people signed up to follow the trial in person, in limited vacancies open to the public. Among national and foreign journalists, more than 501 professionals called for accreditation.
The main target of the trial is Bolsonaro himself, who is not obliged to appear, but can follow the case in person, if he wants. For this, however, Minister Alexandre de Moraes is necessary for the displacement, since the president was placed in house arrest by the rapporteur of the criminal action.
The other seven defendants, including military and civilians, also have the right to appear to the trial, all former advisers close to Bolsonaro who were accused by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) to try to break with the democratic order in Brazil.
There are no interdictions in the Ministries Esplanade during the week, only for the September 7 parade, which takes place on Saturday. In this case, the closure of the road occurs from 17h on the 6th, at the height of the Cathedral of Brasilia and 23hs, from the East Handle, just after the Plano Piloto bus station.
Weapons are prohibited
Access to the public will be open from 6 am on September 7th. Items such as weapons, sharp objects, flammable substances, glass containers, fireworks, large backpacks, tents and drones without permission are prohibited.
The Federal Supreme Court is preparing – since mid -August – for the trial of the coup plot. Since last month, about 30 judicial police officers have been sent from various states and others sleep at the court’s headquarters in dormitories assembled to be readily.
Among the precautions, there were also repeated scans in the Supreme Building and also in the house of ministers of the First Class, which, besides Moraes, is composed by Cristiano Zanin, Luiz Fux, Cármen Lúcia and Flávio Dino.
The defendants of core 1 of the coup plot are responsible for five crimes, the sentence of which may exceed 40 years in prison. They are: integrate armed criminal organization, violently attentive to the Democratic Rule of Law, coup, damage qualified by violence and serious threat and deterioration of the union’s listed assets.
