The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes gave the Federal Highway Police (PRF) 48 hours to send information to the Court about trucks and vehicles that participated in blockades on federal highways.
The decision must also be complied with by the Federal Police (PF) and the Civil and Military Police of the states. The decision was taken in the action in which the minister determined the total unblocking of the highways that registered stoppages of truck drivers from October 30th after the announcement of the results of the second round of the election for president of the Republic.
In the decision, signed today (7), Moraes also asked for data on vehicle owners.
“I order the civil and military police of the states and the Federal District, as well as the Federal Police and the Federal Highway Police, to send and on the identification of trucks and vehicles that actively participated in the blockades and in the demonstrations in front of the barracks of the Armed Forces , as well as the data of the respective owners, individuals or legal entities. I also determine that they inform if they identified leaders, organizers and/or financiers of the referred antidemocratic acts, with the remittance of the data and measures taken”, wrote Moraes.
On October 30, after the announcement of the victory of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for the Presidency of the Republic, in the second round, groups of truck drivers started blockades in various parts of the country.
Blockages
According to the PRF, the flow of vehicles is partially interrupted in 15 points in the country. There are four total blocks in Bom Jesus do Araguaia (MT), Campos de Júlio (MT), Sapezal (MT) and Rio do Sul (SC). Since last week, 1,049 demonstrations have been undone by agents of the corporation.
