The Venezuelan delegation of Parlasur positively valued Argentina’s desire to renew diplomatic relations with Venezuela, Deputy Saúl Ortega emphasized on Thursday.
“We want to greet from here, the declaration of the president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, as president of CELAC, who has announced Argentina’s willingness to reestablish diplomatic relations with our country and calls on CELAC to debate and do what own,” he said in statements to the press.
In this sense, he described as “highly positive” that there is a current in the region that seeks once again the integration of the continent.
“There is an important current in the world and in particular in Latin America, which is defeating that environment that was created around our country, a kind of campaign against Venezuela that pushed some countries to make decisions that were not the happiest,” pointed out.
“Today the opposite is being demonstrated, that what we need in this part of the world is more unity, integration between our governments,” added the parliamentarian from the Federal Palace.
On the other hand, he announced that work is being done so that Parlasur has a Venezuelan representation of the revolutionary caucus.
“There are still some currents that call themselves democratic, they want a debate on Venezuela, but they don’t want the voice of Venezuela, we go with all the political pigment that parliament has,” he said.
