The stepfather of a minor under the age of 13 was sent to jail charged with the crime of aggravated rape, after being denounced for sexually abusing his stepdaughter since he was 11 years old. Currently, the minor is four months of gestation.
The event was recorded in the municipality of Cotoca, where the Police made the arrest of the sexual offender, who was in his home located in the Mamita de Cotoca urbanization, after being betrayed as the perpetrator of the rape.
The director of the Special Force to Fight Violence (Felcv), Colonel Roberto Porcel, indicated that the victim, who is now 13 years old, was repeatedly sexually abused by her 55-year-old stepfather.
“The girl had been abused since she was 11 years old, the man identified as René F., upon learning that the girl was pregnant 16 weeks, he threatened her so she wouldn’t report him,” explained the police chief.
The family, upon learning of the pregnancy of the minor and to know who was the perpetrator of the act, filed the complaint in the Felcv de Cotoca, where the uniformed officers began the investigations and found her whereabouts.
The judicial authority found the 55-year-old man guilty of the crime of aggravated rape, and ordered him preventive detention for 180 days in the Palmasola jail.
