Step by Step Plan: 28 communes change phase; 12 go forward and 16 go back

The Ministry of Health (Minsal), in the middle of the balance on the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in the country, reported that 28 communes will change phase, within the framework of the Step by Step Plan, starting this Wednesday, December 1.

Specifically, 12 will advance and 16 will retreat. Of those that progress, seven will be in Initial Opening (Phase 4) and five in Preparation (Phase 3). Meanwhile, among those that fall back, 10 will remain in Phase 3, while six in Transition (Phase 2).

Advance to Initial Opening (Phase 4)

  • Canela (Coquimbo Region)
  • Long Street (Valparaíso)
  • Litueche (O’Higgins)
  • Linares (Maule)
  • Pelluhue (Maule)
  • Chaitén (Los Lagos)
  • Chile Chico (Aysén).

Advance to Preparation (Phase 3)

  • Santo Domingo (Valparaíso Region)
  • Petorca (Valparaíso)
  • San Antonio (Valparaíso)
  • Algarrobo (Valparaíso)
  • El Tabo (Valparaíso)

Fall back to Preparation (Phase 3)

  • Alto del Carmen (Atacama Region)
  • Rengo (O’Higgins)
  • Claro River (Maule)
  • Cauquenes (Maule)
  • Cabrero (Biobío)
  • Penco (Biobío)
  • Lonquimay (La Araucanía)
  • Cunco (La Araucanía)
  • Melipeuco (La Araucanía)
  • Valdivia (Los Ríos)

Fall Back to Transition (Phase 2)
