Italian coach Stefano Pioli extended his contract with AC Milan until June 2025, The Lombard club announced this Monday.
Arrived at the bench of the ‘Rossoneri’ in October 2019, Pioli, whose previous contract was going to expire at the end of the current season, won Serie A last season, a ‘Scudetto’ that put an end to 11 years of drought for the historic Milanese team, which now has 19 league titles in Italy.
The 57-year-old coach is close to getting AC Milan -with seven Champions in his showcases- in the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time since the 2013-2014 financial year.
At San Siro, Milan only need one point against Salzburg, on Wednesday to clinch second place in Group E behind Chelsea.
