This was announced by the minister of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM), Victor BisonĂł, participating in the closing ceremony of the Expo Fair Santiago, a specialized event that culminated this Sunday with the stake of more than 70 local and international companies.
The activity was also attended by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, who indicated that there are more than 2,500 jobs direct that have been created through the industry of the steelthus improving “the lives of families and entire communities in the country.”
Peña acknowledged that the industry Dominican of the steel “has embraced the innovation and the development of society”, which is consistent with the Government’s commitment.

Steel Expo Santiago served as the setting for developing an agenda of talks and Conferences with top-level specialists, who sponsored invaluable meetings between professionals, experts, students and companies at the Dominican Convention and Culture Center of the Technological University of Santiago (UTESA).
