The project was initiated through the Executing Technical Unit for State Land Titling (UTECT), the Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD), the General Directorate of National Assets (BN), together with the Mayor’s Office and the Government of Pedernales.
The executive director of the UTECT, merida torresmaintained that Pedernales has spent decades without being taken into account by previous governments, remaining alone in promises all unfulfilled, and that is why the president Louis Abinader has made the decision that this demarcation be reborn, becoming a tourist destination with the same preponderance as Punta Cana and La Romana.

“The time for change has come for Pedernales, the time for the value of its lands and its people to be recognized, that is why the main objective of being here is to start the titling process where the technical, social and social work will be carried out. and legal in the first stage, so we plan to deliver 3,450 definitive title certificates to benefit 13,800 people in this province,” Torres pointed out.
He stressed that the launch of the titling project in the southern province is part of the Pedernales Development Plan, which is executed by the Government headed by President Luis Abinader with a comprehensive vision for the economic and social development of the population.
Mérido Torres, indicated that the plots that will be intervened by the technicians of the UTECT and the IAD are: 1-B, 40, 215-B-3,512-REF, of the Cadastral District No. 03, located in the communities of Las Flores, Los Cayucos, La 40, Cabo Muelle, Campo de Aviación neighborhood, Víctor Cheché, Colonia Mencia, Aguas Negras, Canta La Rana, La Altagracia, Las Palmas, Villa Esperanza, Macanatillo, Pangola, Payabo, Juancho, Town Center, Las Malvinas, Las Palmas, and Pedro Mota, whose works are totally free, so there is no need to pay or give anything to anyone in exchange for them.
On his side, the deputy director of the IAD, Rivera Amador Amador, representing the director of the institution, Francisco García García, maintained that this initiative is part of the response of the Agrarian Institute to the demands made by citizens of this border province.

Meanwhile, the governor of Pedernales, Altagracia Brea de González, affirmed that it is a historic and special day for her people due to the beginning of the titling process that will guarantee that Pedernalenses have legal security, thanks to the vision of President Abinader through the impetus of massive real estate titling.
Meanwhile, the municipal mayor, Andrés Emilio Jiménez, stated that this launch is a sign that the ruler “has given everything for the economic and social development of the province”
Duarte Méndez, Deputy Director of the UTECT for the South Region, attended the launching ceremony of the titling works; Johanny Villaman, Deputy Director of National Assets; the deputies of the province Edirda de Óleo and Héctor Feliz; Vladimir Castillo, Regional Regional Manager of BN; Isidro Ramírez in charge of titling the IAD; Miguel Cruz, regional manager of the FEDA; Confessor González and Secundino Velázquez, provincial and municipal presidents of the PRM respectively.
