“We trust that the Local Congresses will have to exhaust the term established in the transitory of the reform, to carry out the necessary legal adjustments, in order to wait for the determinations of the jurisdictional instances before the litigious procedures that could be presented, and that in this process they will have the opinions of each OPL must be considered as it is the institution that will operate said regulations in each local context”, they added.

“Likewise, as we consider that the main asset of the OPLs is their human resources, we declare that all necessary actions will be deployed to protect the labor rights of those who collaborate in local electoral institutes,” they added.

The AIEEF recognized the professionalism and excellent organizational work that the Local Public Organizations of Coahuila and the State of Mexico have been implementing, who will deploy all their operational and human capacity to carry out the 2023 electoral process, which begins in the month of January and seeks the renewal of 27 public positions.

He expressed all his support and backing to these two electoral institutes because “they have demonstrated an inescapable commitment to democracy and to the guarantee of the electoral rights of citizens, fully fulfilling each of their functions despite the different actions taken against the institutions electoral”.
