Stampede of migrants is stopped when they tried to enter the United States

Judith Pena | March 13, 2023

Thousands of migrants gathered at the Paso del Norte-Santa Fe international bridge in Mexico with the false information that the United States government would give them free passage, due to the supposed celebration of Migrants’ Day. To their surprise they were stopped by barbed wire and tear gas.

Some migrants reported that others were able to pass, mainly men traveling alone.

In the desperate group of foreigners that included Venezuelans, Ecuadorians, Haitians and other nationalities, there were women, children and girls trying to cross the border.
